A Word From The Author

To everyone who has taken the time to read H.E.T., thank you. Writing this book was a deeply personal undertaking, and knowing that it has found its way into your hands means more than I can adequately express.
This story is drawn from a chapter of my life that shaped who I am, and my only hope in telling it was that something within these pages would resonate with you, whether that is an understanding of the men and women who serve, a glimpse into a world rarely seen, or simply a story worth your time. If you found something of value in it, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
Your support as a reader is not taken lightly. Thank you for giving this book a chance.
With gratitude, Eric P. Miller
